I'm very excited about the launch of this new church called Discovery. Before our move to the Folsom area, I served as an associate
pastor in the San Francisco Bay area for 10 years. Most recently, I served as the executive pastor at a large church in the Dallas area. I grew up in Northern California and while in
college, I began a banking career which continued for nearly 10 years. As a branch manager for a large bank, I was on a fast-paced career track. It was during this time
that my wife of nine months died of lupas. This was the defining moment in my life where I discovered a new and transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. After two
years of involvement with a great church, I attended Bible College in Oklahoma. I met and married the love of my life, Cindy, who worked for the Dean in the Admissions
Dept. (She read my application and immediately fell in love!) We have been married 11 years and we have 2 great kids, Meghan and Kaitlyn. http://rape2008.com . After eleven years of full time ministry as an Associate Pastor, we felt God calling us to plant a church. Northern California has always felt like home to me so I knew this
was the place to start. After praying about and researching several communities, we fell in love with Folsom and its people.
Some of the greatest pleasures in my life are, playing with my kids, hiking in Yosemite, Starbucks coffee, the 49ers (yes, in the good years and the bad ones!), holding
hands with my wife, reading a good book, walks along the beach, laughing too hard, conversations with friends, growing in my relationship with Jesus, and being lead Pastor at this new church called Discovery.
